I just love this park. It is located off of Main Street, near downtown Kennesaw. I started going there when I lived in Kennesaw about 10 years ago. It has a 1+ mile paved track that goes around a little something for everyone.

Two playgrounds, one for the littles, one for the bigs.

The park has grown in popularity over time, so parking on a beautiful day can get a bit challenging. They do provide some overflow parking. Today, we took the bikes and headed out for an hour of biking on the track. My son and I got new bikes and we were excited to try them out. I sadly didn’t put my pedals on tight enough and they fell off. I didn’t have any tools. So, what do you do when you don’t have a bike to ride? You walk! And walk I did. It was heaven. Sixty degrees, clear skies and a light breeze.

It was an amazing hour. I loved watching everyone enjoying their day, whether if they were flying a kite, getting steps in, or using the other amenities. If anyone was having a bad day, I couldn’t tell. Seeing a toddler with his skateboard while teens carefully and methodically maneuvered around him so he could play. I thought to myself, this is happiness. This is what it is all about. The phrase “a walk in the park” can mean so much more than easy.
